Search the Valued Components (VCs)

You can search the information on this website by 'valued component' and 'region'. Select a Valued Component and a Region, and then click 'GO'. The Preliminary State of Knowledge Report (June 2007) and NWT CIMP project reports will then be searched and a summary of results for the valued component selected will be returned.

Note:Capacity-building projects have been done in various regions that are not associated with any specific VCs. Please go to the Capacity-Building list to review these project reports.

 

The CIMP-Tariuq Inventory provides another source for information concerning existing monitoring datasets in the Northwest Territories and contact information for their respective administrators.

Traditional Knowledge is an essential element of all Valued Components (VCs) and has been included where available. Please send any suggestions to the NWT CIMP Coordinators.

Contaminants information is included in most VCs. Additional information is also available via the Northern Contaminants Program website,  the Northwest Territories Contaminant Fact Sheet series, and the DIAND Youth Buzz website.

Biodiversity monitoring is an element of some VCs. The NWT CIMP Coordinators and many other organizations are contributing to the development of an NWT Biodiversity Action Plan.
